MicrodermaMitt and Olive Skin Care

At the Fushion Magazine Royal Suite event that I attended last month, I got a little swag bag and one of the cool gifts inside was a MicrodermaMitt. Hmmm--I thought--this looks interesting. The mitt is made of natural floss silk and, when wet, uses friction created by its unique weaving technique to gently exfoliate skin. I've used scrubs and acids and loofahs and brushes and let me tell you, the MicrodermaMitt works the BEST! The mitt comes in two sizes/weights, one smaller, lighter weave for more delicate facial skin and a larger, somewhat coarser weave for the body. After just a couple of uses, I noticed an improvement in my skin tone and texture. Dry flaky elbows? Tiny bumps? Clogged pores? The MicrodermaMitt really works to give smoother, softer skin.

I was so impressed with the mitts I contacted Judy Nural, the president of the company, to let her know how much I was enjoying her product. She graciously sent me a generous sample of their Olive Skin Care line as well. The 100% Olive Oil Cleansing Bar is made from pure olive oil, mineral salts and water. That's it! No additives, preservatives, dyes or fragrances. It gently but thoroughly cleans skin. Judy also sent some 100% Natural Olive Face and Body Oil. Usually when you think of olive oil, you think--heavy, smelly, salad...But not this oil! In addition to extra virgin olive oil (I've always wondered what that meant--"extra virgin." Does it mean the olives have never even kissed?), this light and fresh moisturizer contains almond oil and green tea oil so it contains plenty of natural occurring antioxidants and polyphenols.

It absorbs quickly and feels very nourishing and healing to my skin. No heaviness or smelliness AT ALL! It's really wonderful and I love putting it on as the finishing touch to my newly exfoliated skin. So if you're like me and are a little obsessed with the health of your skin, I recommend checking out MicrodermaMitt and Olive Skin Care. Very simple, natural--yet highly effective--skin care products.
