L.A. Confidential on Blu-Ray DVD Giveaway

Okay--here's the deal:

L.A. Confidential is now available on Blu-ray. I possess a brand new copy of the film that starred Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Kevin Spacey, James Cromwell and won Kim Basinger a Best Supporting actress Oscar. I do not possess a Blu-ray DVD player.

So here's your chance to win my copy. I will send it to you for FREE!

Just three requirements:

1. You can't be related to me (Sorry David and Laurie...)
2. You must own a Blu-ray DVD player (Yes, I will require proof...kidding!)
3. You must post about your favorite scene from the film in the comments section.

That's it! I will randomly select a winner and send out the DVD in the next couple of weeks.

3 comments:

  1. I love this movie, but if I had to pick one scene that always makes me laugh --- it's gotta be the one where Kevin Spacey introduces his dance partner to Danny DeVito and she walks off in a huff. Kevin Spacey then says something like "What was that all about?" "Oh, we ran a story last year on Ingenue Dykes in Hollywood...her name got mentioned." Always makes me smile.

    PS: I also own a Blu-ray player

  2. Jim,

One of the surprises of the movie for me was how scummy and sleazy the "press" was back then. I'd assumed that tawdry gossip was a more recent phenomenon, but Perez Hilton's got nothing Sid Hudgens.

Keep checking back--I'll announce a winner in the next week or so and I'll need whomever to email me with their address.

  3. My favorite scene is where James Cromwell shoots Kevin Spacey and Spacey murmurs "Rollo Tomasi" as he's dying. Which is a brilliant way to set-up the corrupt Cromwell and expose him as the murderer when Cromwell asks Guy Pearce about Tomasi later in the movie.

    Just awesome...

Jim, if you're around shoot me an e-mail (stella@wellaboveaverage.com) with your address and I'll send the Blu-ray out to you.
