Telling a whopper...

The latest Burger King commercials are a Candid Camera-styled depiction of customer reactions when the famous Whopper is removed from the menu. Burger King terms it the Whopper "Freakout," but in every commercial I've seen, the patrons are fairly calm. There's no teeth gnashing, arms flailing, screaming or wailing. The most accurate term for the reaction is more like "bemused." It's the Great Whopper Bemusement. OK, so that's not quite as dramatic as "freakout."

Dear Ad makers for Burger King, for the true definition of "freakout," see Spears, Britney.
