Appendix Addendum

Following the cool news about chocolate cravings and the fact that humans may in fact be mere hosts for microbes--most of which reside in our digestive system, I found this interesting article about why we have an appendix. According to the article, "the appendix is a kind of "safe house" for the beneficial bacteria living in the human gut."
